Universal Reflection: A Poem

What are the stars when we aren’t looking?

Tableaux of warriors, gods and heroes?

Or atoms, plasma burning?

The universe looks to us,

Orphaned children, drifting.

The only eyes within it,

Painting meaning on the void.
